PROLONG THE LIFE OF YOUR POSTS
Craftsmanship behind SECURED-A-POST
Secured-A-Post is an innovative support bracket developed to prevent fence post from rotting at the base. The bottom half of the bracket is inserted into a concrete footing while the concrete is still wet. The top half is then leveled and plumbed, and once cured, a post is secured with lag bolts. The idea behind the bracket was that keeping the post above ground would prevent it from rotting at the base, adding several years to the life of the fence. However, during the process of developing the product and actually putting it to use, several other advantages came to light - highlighting this unique product:
1. Division of Labor: Secured-A-Post brackets can be set by one person as fast (if not faster!) than two people can! (the traditional way).
2: Repairs on existing fences: Using Secured-A-Post, you can use the remaining good portion of the existing post and there is no need to disassemble the existing fence. Simply dig out the existing footing, cut the broken post at the bottom of the fence, and slide the bracket on. Secure with lag bolts, pour concrete, and level. Easiest and best way to repair a post adding several years to the fence.
3: Lumber and environmental impact: With Secured-A-Post, you only use two thirds of the lumber for fence posts - potentially reducing lumber costs and reducing lumber consumption as well. For a four foot fence, an eight foot post can be cut in half creating two posts, a twelve foot post can be cut in half for a six foot fence…etc. Future lumber stocking may be completely reorganized so that six and four foot posts are included in lumber production.
In conclusion, Secured-A-Post is the fastest, easiest, and best way to set wooden posts. Since I started this process, I’ve installed hundreds of post using this product and I never want to set a post without the use of the brackets. By looks and feel, you’d never know the post is above ground. If you instal fence posts using the Secured-A-Post brackets, they will last three times longer - and if one breaks, you just slide a new post in and secure it with four lag bolts . Additionally, the brackets come in sizes to accommodate any size post and they can be customized with a decorative accent pieces on the top.
